Sustainable integration of renewable fuels in local transportation

SEAFUEL aims to use renewable resources across the Atlantic Area to power local transport fleets and support the shift towards a low-carbon economy. The project will use the expertise and infrastructure of the partners in renewable energy, namely solar, wind and marine, to demonstrate the viability of hydrogen as a fuel to be used by the local transport authorities. Success of the project will promote a sustainable transport system that can be adopted by other Atlantic regions.

Hyenergy's part in SEAFUEL

HyEnergy are participating in the project in a number of ways. We are providing hydrogen expertise to assist the physical implementation of hydrogen technologies, such as fuel cell vehicles and a refuelling station. As well as, producing a number of hydrogen roadmaps for regions within the project (Tenerife, Madeira, West of Ireland, South West England and Northern Ireland) looking at how hydrogen can improve locally seen energy challenges.
